Miscellaneous Information – Such was the popularity of Indian actress Cuckoo in those days that her dances were considered as necessary requirements of many Hindi films produced during late 40s to early 50s. For this film, the shooting of Cuckoo’s dance was done in Bombay and then imported back to Pakistan and included in this film with “Inter-cutting” opposite Pakistani artistes. Thus making this film as the only Pakistani and perhaps the only Punjabi (I am not sure if Cuckoo acted in any Indian Punjabi film) film of Cuckoo’s career.

Mundri was also the first Punjabi film of comedian Charlie.

The film did only average business in Pakistani Punjab (Western Punjab) but reported to have done good business in Indian Punjab (Eastern Punjab).
